RSG Series Commercial Split System A/C

The RSG Series split system condensing units are designed to let you match components to the specific requirements of the job for maximum efficiency. With the condensing unit located outside and a low profile air handler installed in the ceiling or conditioned space, there's no need for a separate equipment room.

The RSG Commercial Series is efficient, quiet, and simple to install, and available in sizes ranging from 77,000 to 244,000 BTUH/6 to 20 tons. Units are precharged with R-410A, the environmentally friendly refrigerant.

RSG Condensing Units are designed to be used with our AHCG Series commercial air handlers for efficient air conditioning. By mixing and matching these components, the contractor is able to meet the actual requirements of the job, eliminating the use of under- or oversized equipment. Installation is simplified with removable panels and externally located sweat connections.

Features

CABINET—Galvanized steel with powder coat paint finish. The unit is of frame and panel construction, which allows access panels to be opened or removed without affecting the structural integrity of the unit; stamped louver panels offer protection for the condenser coil

BASE PAN—Galvanized steel with powder coat paint finish

COMPRESSORS—The scroll compressor is hermetically sealed with internal high temperature protection, and durable insulation on the motor windings and are mounted on isolators to reduce vibration and noise transmission to surrounding areas; models -125 through -240 have tandem scroll compressors

CONDENSER COIL—Constructed with copper tubes and aluminum fins mechanically bonded to the tubes for maximum heat transfer capabilities

REFRIGERANT CONNECTIONS—Fixed panel is used for field piping connections, allowing removal of access panels without disturbing connections

LOW AMBIENT CONTROL—A pressure sensitive fan cycling control allows operation down to 0° F.

SERVICE VALVES—Standard on liquid and suction lines, isolates the outdoor unit from the indoor units for easier serviceability

SERVICE ACCESS—Condenser fan motors are mounted on removable top panels, exposing the entire condenser coil for cleaning.

CONDENSER FAN MOTORS—Direct drive permanently lubricated PSC motors with inherent thermal overload are accessed by removing the wire grilles

Crankcase HeaterMinimizes refrigerant migration into the compressor oil

Filter-DrierIncluded to ensure cleanliness of refrigerant

Look for the Leaf: R-410A is called an environmentally-friendly refrigerant because it does not contribute to the depletion of the earth's vital ozone layer, which provides a protective barrier against the sun's harmful UV rays. Soon all refrigerants used around the world will be replaced by non-ozone depleting refrigerants such as R-410A, which is already in use in many Comfort-Aire models. Look for equipment marked with the leaf, signifying that it's charged with R-410A.
