HTS: Two Stage Split System Geothermal Heat Pumps

The advantages of a split system unit is combined with the exceptional efficiency of a two stage design in the HTS Series.

Far exceeding ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies, the unit runs at 67% capacity most of the time, but automatically and instantly switches to 100% when there's a demand for greater heating/cooling. Comfort is maintained and operating costs lowered through this shifting of part load/full load capacity. Another advantage is quiet operation.

The split system configuration is ideal for compact spaces such as attics or crawl spaces, and the compact cabinets can be stacked for multi-unit installations.

Coupled with an air handler or add-on furnace coil, the split system also offers the flexibility of an all-electric or dual fuel system.

All models use environmentally friendly R-410A.

NOTE: Not all models qualify for Energy Star based on installation; consult www.energystar.gov for details.

Features

Quiet Operation—Double isolation compressor mounting system and vibration isolation springs; insulated divided and separate compressor and air handler compartments

Extended Operating Range—20 to 120 degree F range makes units suitable for virutally all applications and climates

Two Stage Compressor—Copeland multi-stage scroll compressor provides steady comfort at higher efficiencies than single stage models

Microprocessor Controls—Solid stage controls include performance monitoring system that signals a potential problem before a lockout occurs

Easy Installation & Service—Panels on three sides are easily removed for access to components; back-setting valves are included

Compatible—TXVs on our 13 SEER air handlers have built-in check valve, making them suitable for use with HTS Series (match nominal size to nominal size)

Look for the Leaf: R-410A is called an environmentally-friendly refrigerant because it does not contribute to the depletion of the earth's vital ozone layer, which provides a protective barrier against the sun's harmful UV rays. Soon all refrigerants used around the world will be replaced by non-ozone depleting refrigerants such as R-410A, which is already in use in many Comfort-Aire models. Look for equipment marked with the leaf, signifying that it's charged with R-410A.
